Generated Code License
GeneratorStudio turns your data model into a C# solution: domain, application, API and presentation layers, database scripts, tests and deployment files. This license explains what you may do with that output. It is part of the Terms of Service.
1. The application is yours
You own the application generated from your model. You may use, change, copy, publish, sell and license it, for as many applications, customers and deployments as you like, without paying us per application or crediting us. [Decide whether code generated on the Free plan may be used commercially, and whether it must carry GeneratorStudio branding.]
2. The parts that come from our templates
Generated files are built from our templates, so some code is the same in every application. For code generated while your account was in good standing, we grant you a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, change and distribute that code as part of your applications. The license continues after your subscription ends.
You may not extract the templates, or the shared framework code on its own, to sell or publish them as a template library, starter kit or code generator.
3. Third-party components
Generated solutions use packages and libraries made by others, each under its own license, for example .NET, Entity Framework Core and the client-side libraries the solution references. Those licenses, not this one, govern them. Check them before you distribute an application.
DevExtreme. By default the generated web client uses DevExtreme, a commercial product licensed by Developer Express Inc., not by us. Using or distributing an application built with it may require your own DevExtreme license; check DevExpress's terms. To avoid it, choose the Native UI framework in the project's settings before generating.
4. Your model and AI proposals
Your data model is your content. AI proposals you apply become part of your model like any other change, and the code generated from them is covered by this license. AI output is not checked for accuracy; review it.
5. Regenerating
Regenerating updates the generated files and can overwrite changes made directly in them. Keep your own code in the partial classes and extension points the solution provides, commit your work before regenerating, and review the changes before deploying.
6. No warranty
Generated code is provided "as is". You are responsible for reviewing, testing and securing your application, for the data it handles, and for complying with the laws that apply to it.
